What is a Surgi-naut?
It’s St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital’s way of putting children at ease before having surgery by experiencing a full-scale “rehearsal” including an actual operating room tour, refreshments and giveaways. Children who attend the program tend to be more relaxed, need less anesthesia and do better, both pre- and post-operatively.
